The Upper Ohio Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday, September 24 was an extraordinary event filled with hope, determination, and community spirit. As we reflect on this memorable day, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who made it possible and celebrate the historic milestones achieved. Together, we have taken significant steps towards raising awareness, supporting families, and advancing research to end Alzheimer's disease.

Looking Ahead:

Mark your calendars for the 2024 Upper Ohio Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which will be held on Sunday, September 22 at Wheeling Park. The registration and activities will commence at 1 p.m., followed by the opening ceremony at 2 p.m. We encourage everyone to join us in this annual event and help us continue our mission to end Alzheimer's disease.


Save the Date:

Please also save the date for the Ohio Valley Brain Ball 2024, scheduled for June 15, 2024, at the Wheeling Island Hotel, Casino, Racetrack. This marvelous event brings our community together to support groundbreaking research and initiatives aimed at combating Alzheimer's disease.

I would like to share my husband's journey with Alzheimer's disease. He received his diagnosis two years ago at the age of 57, presenting with symptoms such as memory loss, difficulty finding words, and a pulsating sensation throughout his body. Initially, he was prescribed donepezil for six months, which was subsequently replaced with memantine.
